Event Description: The Palmetto State enjoys one of the lowest unionization rates in the nation, but South Carolina business leaders must stay on the cutting edge of labor activity. Union representation is down across the nation. In 2010, labor unions across the nation in private businesses were at 7%, the lowest rate since 1932. 

Learn about the latest South Carolina and national activities related to unions. Labor unions are legally recognized as representatives of workers in many industries in the United States. Their activity today centers on collective bargaining over wages, benefits and working conditions for their membership and representing their members in disputes with management. Attend the Regional Labor Forum and find out what practices and activities may lure employees towards forming unions.
