Event Description: South Carolina’s population has increased by more than one million over the last two decades. Additionally, port volumes are expected to double to more than two million containers a year by 2025. At the same time, the tourism economy continues to expand with more visitors traveling to the Palmetto State each year. View sponsorship opportunities.

During the Infrastructure forum, learn:
  • What happened in 2013
  • What 2014 holds
  • Distribution Facility Needs
  • The future of S.C.'s Inland port
  • How current policy affect the port
  • How current policy affects rail and transit
  • Infrastructure and broadband
With other states focused on financing infrastructure to drive economic development, South Carolina policy makers must make infrastructure financing the top priority in 2014. Investing in infrastructure is a core function of government responsibility and will drive economic growth and job creation. View agenda.

The following organizations have collaborated with the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce in planning this one day infrastructure forum:
  • Carolinas AGC / American Road and Transportation Builders of America
  • Concrete Pavement Association
  • SC Asphalt Pavement Association
  • SC Economic Developers’ Association
  • SC Fix Our Roads
  • SC Forestry Association
  • SC Society of Professional Engineers
  • SC Trucking Association
The Competitiveness Agenda Series is compiled of four informational forums covering the key aspects of the Chamber’s Competitiveness Agenda, including infrastructure, health care, environmental/energy and education. Investors may select individual or multiple forums based on company’s needs and exposure level.
