Local Chambers

The South Carolina Chamber of Commerce values its relationship with the local chambers across the state. To keep all businesses informed on legislative issues, the South Carolina Chamber works with the local chambers.

Each year the Chamber plans and hosts three meetings for local chamber executives and key volunteers to keep them abreast of the issues impacting the business community.

In late November or early December the Chamber presents its draft of Competitiveness Agenda, for feedback and support.

In the middle of the legislative session, the Chamber provides an update on the Competitiveness Agenda and allows the local execs and volunteers a chance to expand their knowledge. The local chamber executives and volunteers take information back to their areas to educate their members and, if necessary, to contact legislators.

At the end of the legislative session, the South Carolina Chamber provides an opportunity to discuss the results of the legislative session, explore new issues and begin the planning process for the South Chamber’s grassroots meetings, which are also held with the assistance of the local chambers in nine regions of the state.
