Business Week

In order to educate South Carolina’s future workforce about the business world, the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce holds South Carolina Business Week every summer. Designed for South Carolina high school juniors and seniors, Business Week is a weeklong business education program where teams of students develop mock companies led by company advisors loaned from some of South Carolina’s most prestigious businesses.

Throughout the week, students attend workshops to learn about the principles of leadership, teamwork and the American free enterprise system while testing newly acquired knowledge in a challenging computer business simulation.

Business Week faculty is made up of South Carolina professionals and CEOs in business, education and government who share their specialized knowledge and skills with students. To make the program a success, it needs assistance from volunteers.

For information on the program, visit the Business Week Web site. Learn more about becoming a company advisor or sponsor.
