Safety, Health and Security Committee

The Safety, Health and Security Committee advises the human resources staff of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce on topics like OSHA, workers’ compensation, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, worksite security, risk assessments and crisis management. The committee reviews proposed legislation and regulations and provides input as appropriate.

To assist Chamber members in their quest for a safe and secure work environment, the committee seeks to offer technical assistance on compliance with safety and health matters through publications, seminars, training programs, and networking. The safety, health and security committee meetings also serve as a forum for information-sharing on topics of common interest to employers, the community and government leaders.

Additional Qualifications for Membership

Members should have either direct or indirect responsibility for safety and health-related matters. There is no size limit on the committee. This committee reports through the HR committee.
