The South Carolina Chamber of Commerce helps human resources professionals improve South Carolina’s workplaces. From supervisory and management training to an annual Human Resources Conference to Legal Reference Series publications, the South Carolina Chamber provides resources that will enhance your HR programs and services.
Human Resource (HR) Conference
Each May, the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce holds its annual HR conference to give attendees the latest information on policy issues and trends. The conference allows HR practitioners to meet with exhibitors and sponsors, network with fellow HR professionals and vendors, and listen to expert speakers during keynote addresses and panel discussions.
The 2010 Human Resources Conference is set for May 16-18 at
Wild Dunes Resort,
Isle of Palms. Exhibits and sponsorships are available. Please contact
Tish Anderson at
(803)255-2627.
HR Institute Certificate Series
The South Carolina Chamber of Commerce offers the Certificate Series through its Human Resources Institute. The Certificate Series programs provide trainees with an extensive overview of human resources, management and leadership development, employee benefits, diversity, safety, and health. Offered in a logical sequence, these seminars build upon the previous session’s content to ensure that participants have the groundwork needed to understand subsequent topics. These programs remove the guesswork for
HR professionals.
Relying on real life examples and case studies, participants will be able to apply the learned information to every day issues. Each Certificate Series consists of half- or full-day modules conducted in several locations across the state. Recertification credit hours toward PHR and SPHR recertification through the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) have been approved.
