Advocacy Overview
The South Carolina Chamber serves as your advocate at the State House and to the regulatory agencies within the state. The cost of government is more than taxes: it includes the cost of legislation and regulations that are part of the daily operating expenses.
As your advocate, the Chamber works to prevent anti-business legislation and regulation, and it researches and develops solutions to address business concerns. Each year, the Grassroots Network develops what we call the Competitiveness Agenda, a list of issues that
provides an easy way for business leaders to communicate with legislators on items that will impact the state's business community. Regular weekly reports keep all members up-to-date on legislative and regulatory activities.
