What is the Grassroots Network?
The unified voice of business in our state continually strives to
maintain one of the most positive business climates in the country. In
an effort to sustain this edge, business leaders stay engaged in the
South Carolina Chamber of Commerce's Grassroots Network. The Grassroots
Network assists in moving important legislation forward or in halting
legislation that may have a negative impact on the state's
competitiveness.
What do members of the Grassroots Network do?
When you join the Chamber's Grassroots Network, you become a member of the team that identifies and develops business issues, receives regular reports and calls to action on legislative issues, communicates individually and collectively with members of the General Assembly, Congress and regulatory agencies, and participates in activities that demonstrate the strength of the business community.
What are the benefits of involvement?
Members of the Grassroots Network stay informed and involved in issues that impact their business. Grassroots Network members receive the weekly Competitiveness Update during the legislative session, get periodic legislative alerts on issues that affect their business, can access a database of business-related legislation, and are invited to a grassroots regional meeting in their area, just to name a few.
